Smoke Memorial honoring Rama on Mt. Shasta

Held on July 14-17, 2000 on Mt. Shasta, the auspicious occasion of the Full Moon in July known for centuries as the Guru-Purnima, a large number of Rama's students gathered to participate in a special memorial to honor RAMA, Buddha, and Padmasambhava. Many thanks to those who shared their cherished photos with us!

ABOUT THE CEREMONY:

"Life is about seeking beautiful moments" – RAMA

The smoke ceremony exists in part, as a vehicle for the student to express their love, renewed intent, and their intention to move forward on their pathway to enlightenment with their teacher.

Khempo Yurmed Tinley, the overseer of this esteemed ceremony, further elaborated on the pressing needs of this new century:

"1. Cultivation of World Peace

2. Personal practice that fosters the rise of Bodhicitta

3. G
eneration of positive energy."

Wish though we may, we cannot capture the energy, the enthusiasm and excitement of this event on these simple pages. Hopefully, you may have a peek into these special days created through the hard work and one-pointed intent of Rama's students. Many thanks to those who shared personal experiences through their photos with us!
