Transcending, Respectfully!

“And as people swim in Old Walden Pond, it soothes them, it renews them. It’s a little bit like the pool in Cocoon, I suppose, any power spot is. Like all power spots, it needs to be treated with respect because when you go to a power spot, and you think negative or depressing thoughts they tend to grow stronger. Whereas if you think more positive, happier thoughts, they tend to increase in strength. And of course, if you don’t think at all, you move into very transcendental states of awareness”

We are beings of all possibilities. We are limitless. Somewhere in the deepest springs of our being where we know this. We know enlightenment, we are that.

As we journey towards reclaiming -- remembering who we are, we do all kinds of things to put us in touch with our own eternality.

One of the “doings” -- is stalking power. We meditate, and in the silence we absorb power, light, energy. Respectfully we seek powerful vortexes on the planet earth. We journey to the desert, or the mountains, to seas or lakes.

Preparation for a meeting with power is important. Get those closets cleaned and organized. Get rid of excess. Prepare your body for long, intense hikes. Prepare your mind for dissolution (as if). Prepare your spirit to return to light.

Whether you go for a hike in your local parks, or to power spots far away, be mindful. Weed out negative thoughts, leave them behind. Power spots amplify your thoughts. Better to ‘accentuate the positive’.

Open to the power and wisdom that nature has to offer. If you saw the old movie Cocoon, you witnessed how intoxicating the power can be. Understand that there is a time to sit and transcend into limitless awareness, and a time to say ‘thank you’ and leave. The people in Cocoon didn’t understand that.

So with all due respect to power seekers, hold a reverence for all life. Be sure to listen to the power of the land and water, to the wind, the elementals. Respect power when she invites you to leave. She will.

Knowing how to approach the infinite is essential. We call it etiquette.
